The Struq Privacy Centre was created to provide you with easy-to-understand information about our services and the data we collect through the Struq technology platform to help you make more informed choices about the content you consume and types of ads you receive.

Who is Struq?

Struq is a technology company that partners with retailers and online businesses to make relevant advertising that reflects your interests. Our aim is to improve the advertising experience online by displaying relevant products and offers that you may have already looked at or that we think you may like based on analysis of anonymous data collected on the retailers website.

How does Struq serve relevant ads?

Struq records, via anonymous “cookies” (data files) which pages you have browsed on our partners' website - normally an online retailer. Cookies keep the information of which pages you viewed, and in certain cases which products you bought. This data is anonymous and exclusively meant for statistical treatment. There is absolutely no way for Struq to identify the visitor.

What does Struq know about me through the ads they serve?

We do not know who you are. We do not know your name. We do not know where you live, where you work, your gender, your age, your email address or any other personally identifiable information about you. We do not collect any information from the publisher website on which you may have seen our ads. We do not store your IP address. We do know that the Internet Browser you are using has visited one of our partner sites (probably an online retailer) in the last 30 days, and we have seen which products you were interested in on that site.

What information does Struq collect about me – and how is this used?

We only collect anonymous data. Anonymous cookies record the pages you browse on our partners' websites, and in certain cases, which products you bought. This data is exclusively meant for statistical treatment. There is absolutely no way for Stuq to identify the visitor. Our advertisements do not combine information about you from multiple sources. We do not take any user information from a retailer that they may have stored about you (name, address, etc). We do not share or sell any data with any site that displays our advertising.

Where will I see Struq ads?

Our retailers' advertisements are displayed on many Internet sites (also called Publishers). The ad control box will allow you to turn off interests based advertising from Struq if you wish. (You will see ads, they just will not tailored to your online activity and interests)

Partner Sites’ Policies

Struq has no control over, nor does it bear any of the responsibility for the privacy policies and/or content of any sites or advertisers linked to or on struq.com, or the cookies these sites might deposit on your hard drive.

We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser's "help" file.

How long do you store data for?

We retain the anonymous data that we collect (e.g., which pages you have browsed on our partners’ website) for up to 13 months from the date of collection. After 13 months, the information is destroyed.

Data Security

Struq has implemented reasonable security measures and safeguards to protect the information we collect both during transmission and once we receive it. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of firewalls and encryption. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

How can I disable the display of Struq’s interests-based ads

If you no longer want to be exposed to Struq interests based ads, simply turn off the ad Control in the box above .

Please note that this will not block ads that are displayed on the websites you visit, it will simply stop you receiving advertising that has been tailored to your interests.

This turn off switch relies on a cookie, so if you wipe all your cookies then we will no longer know that you have opted out. The same applies to if you use a different internet browser, or use a new computer to access the internet.

You can manage your cookies on broader scale on the Internet Advertising Bureau website, www.youronlinechoices.eu
